After the Deluge Unplugged
Brenda Way’s newest work, After the Deluge can be described at its simplest level as a nonlinear report on a “natural disaster" – more specifically, on Hurricane Katrina. Imagery was inspired by newspaper and Television coverage of the event, as well as Spike Lee’s powerful film marking the 20th anniversary. Learn more about how Way takes this premise and builds a world, collaborating with the dancers, to represent the power of nature, the heroism of caring, and the trauma of loss.
** Please note that two dancers, Colton Wall and Jenna Marie, two are integral to the choreography and performance of this work, were out sick for this performance
